Empowering participants with tailored NDIS support coordination
Jenna is the Owner, Director, and Lead Support Coordinator of Blue Jay Support Coordination. She has extensive professional experience within the disability sector, alongside well-established practice in navigating the complexities and continually evolving landscape of the NDIS. Jenna is supported by a small and dedicated team, allowing for consistent, responsive, and high-quality service delivery whilst maintaining a personalised, hands-on approach.
Prior to entering the disability sector, Jenna worked as a Veterinary Nurse for 16 years. In 2018, she sustained a traumatic workplace injury, resulting in permanent impairment to her left hand and a long journey with chronic pain. This experience required her to navigate complex healthcare systems across multiple settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation services, and mental health care programs. Through this experience, she developed a deep, lived understanding of the challenges that individuals and families often face when engaging with fragmented and overwhelming systems of care. Following her transition from the veterinary industry, Jenna sought a meaningful career where she could translate this lived experience into practical, compassionate support for others. She entered the disability sector as a Support Coordinator and quickly discovered a role she was deeply passionate about.
Jenna is currently completing a Bachelor of Counselling, majoring in Mental Health and Art Therapy. This academic pathway further strengthens her holistic, person-centred approach to Support Coordination. She is deeply committed to reducing the complexity, overwhelm, and administrative burden for participants and their families when navigating the NDIS. Jenna’s approach is grounded in the belief that effective Support Coordination should not only connect people to high-quality, compatible service providers aligned to their individual needs and goals, but also build confidence, capacity, and choice. Her overarching focus is to empower participants and their families with clarity, knowledge, and practical skills, supporting them to gradually develop the confidence to manage their own NDIS Plans with greater independence and autonomy over time.
Jenna Creed is Blue Jay Support Coordination’s Owner, Director and Lead Support Coordinator. She has multiple years of professional experience in the disability sector, and extensive practice in navigating the NDIS.
Prior to working as a Support Coordinator, Jenna was a Veterinary Nurse for 16 years. In 2018, she experienced a traumatic work-related injury after being bitten by a cat whilst performing her role. This caused a permanent impairment to her left hand and a long battle with chronic pain. Not only has she strived to work with and overcome her own physical limitations in order to return to functioning at full capacity, her journey has provided her with extensive lived experience of having to navigate the oftentimes confusing and overwhelming healthcare system in a range of areas, including, but not limited to, hospitals, rehabilitation centres and mental health care programs. After making the decision to resign from the Veterinary Industry, she wanted to find a rewarding career in which she was able to channel this experience and assist others in overcoming their own physical and mental health barriers. She accidentally stumbled into the disability sector as a Support Coordinator, and she’s never looked back!
Currently studying a Bachelor of Counselling and Majoring in Mental Health and Art Therapy, Jenna has a passion for assisting to minimise as much of the complexity, overwhelm and exhaustion as possible for her participants and their families when navigating the NDIS. She understands that the overarching goal of a Support Coordinator is to empower her participants and their families with confidence and knowledge so that they will eventually be able to develop the skills they require to manage their own NDIS Plans in the future.
